Camino from Sarria to Santiago de Compostela

We will begin in the Galician town of Sarria , which is located about 100 km from Santiago . The distance of the French Way of the Camino de Santiago from Sarria to Santiago is approximately 100 km; this is the minimum distance required to request the Compostela certificate .

Along this section, we will walk through beautiful forests, farmland, and rustic villages, following tracks and paths bordered by stone walls. We will be able to admire the beautiful green landscape of Galicia . Finally, we will arrive at our destination, Santiago de Compostela.

Arriving at each of the destinations on the Camino, you will find pleasant accommodation. They are usually small family hotels, high-end country houses and charming hostels, where you can enjoy a unique atmosphere, the same atmosphere that you enjoy along the Camino de Santiago while enjoying the cultural and exquisite richness accompanying the Camino de Santiago. ITINERARY
Day 1.- Arrival. Transfer to Sarria.

Day 2.- Sarria – Portomarín (22 Kms)
Difficulty: Low
You will start with a quiet walk through beautiful and quiet villages under the shade of oak trees along rural roads.

Day 3.- Portomarín – Palas de Rei (25 Kms)
Difficulty: Low
You will start the day by crossing the River Mino and ascent towards Serra de Ligonde. You will cross villages such as Gonzar and Ventas de Naron.

Day 4.- Palas de Rei – Arzúa (29 Kms)
Difficulty: Average
You will walk through the interior, along beautiful rural trails to Coto, continue uphill and downhill through beautiful places like the one formed by the River Iso in Iberico.

Day 5.- Arzúa – Rúa (18 Kms)
Difficulty: Low
Today your Camino de Santiago will pass through beautiful forests, quiet villages and over streams. You will have opportunity to visit the Chapel of Santa Irene with its famous statue of Santiago. You will cross the beautiful village of Rúa.

Day 6.- Rúa – Santiago de Compostela (22 Kms)
Difficulty: Low
Once you leave Rúa, you will go to Lavacolla where pilgrims usually wash in the river preparing for their arrival in Santiago de Compostela. You will continue your pilgrimage around Mount Gozo. From here you can admire the Cathedral of Santiago, admire its rich local architecture and delight in seeing its historic centre declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Arrive on time to Santiago in order to attend the Pilgrims Mass.

Day 7.- Breakfast. Free time. Transfer to Airport.
