Ports of Call: Southampton, UK – Kiel, Germany – Helsinki, Finland – Tallinn, Estonia – Visby, Sweden – Copenhagen, Denmark –  Plus six days At Sea.

Itineraries

Day 1

Southampton, UK

The Southampton cruise port offers a city centre full of charm and a mix of old city walls plus a large modern shopping centre. With multiple restaurants, museums, cinemas and theatres there is plenty to be explored when in a cruise from Southampton. Time spent at embarkation and disembarkation ports may be limited which may restrict availability of shore excursions.

Days 2 -3

At Sea

Day 4

Kiel, Germany

The city of Kiel has become one of the major maritime centres of Germany. For those who love to shop, Kiel's shopping district is a must. Holstenstraße (Holsten Street) is Germany's first ever pedestrian precinct and one of the longest shopping streets in Germany.

Day 5

At Sea

Day 6

Helsinki, Finland

Surrounded by the sea and its own archipelago, Helsinki, the Finnish capital, retains its nautical feel with many sailing events during the summer. Exploring the fascinating sights of Helsinki, cruise guests will discover the city is also the country's main cultural focus, offering dance, ballet, opera, and other festivals. The striking onion-shaped cupolas of the Uspensky Cathedral (modelled on the one in Odessa) are just one example of the Soviet influence on a country which achieved independence less than 100 years ago. Highlights of cruises to Helsinki also include some of the traditional Finnish building in the Senate Square and the North Harbour.

Days 7 - 8

Tallinn, Estonia

Estonia's cruise port Tallinn is also a fascinating medieval capital. Another UNESCO World Heritage Centre and major Hanseatic centre, Tallinn’s Old Town is a fairy-tale mix of Gothic spires, cobbled alleyways and pastel-painted merchants’ houses. Over the centuries Estonia has been a battleground for many European countries all jostling for supremacy, but today Tallinn is a peaceful yet vibrant modern capital.

Day 9

Visby, Sweden

A small but perfectly formed Hanseatic town, no wonder Visby is described as the 'Pearl of the Baltic' or, even more evocatively, as the 'town of roses and ruins'. The UNESCO World Heritage town offers a wealth of picturesque attractions, from haunting medieval ruins to limestone ramparts and charming lanes of painted houses draped in roses. This popular Swedish cruise port on the west coast of the Baltics largest island, Gotland, was once a Viking trading post but it later developed into the Baltics main Hanseatic centre between the 12th and 14th centuries.

Day 10

At Sea

Days 11 - 12

Copenhagen, Denmark

Despite being home to around 1.3 million people, Copenhagen goes by the nickname byen – meaning ‘the village’.  Part of the magic of Denmark and its capital are the contradictions. Copenhagen is where classic Hans Christian Andersen fairy tales and the famous Little Mermaid statue meet a vibrant art scene and trendsetting fashion. You’ll find tiny, traditional bodegas (pubs where smoking is still allowed), next to new, polished juice bars selling matcha lattes. And for all their sleek and minimalist Nordic design, Danes certainly know how to get cosy – or ‘hygge’ themselves, as they say.

Days 13 - 14

At Sea

Day 15
