Spa and Wellness
The small Sands Spa has four treatment rooms, including thatched outdoor cabanas, where you can enjoy one of the signature rituals or something from the particularly impressive massage list. There’s also a sauna, hammam and Jacuzzi that can be enjoyed without an appointment.
Group and private yoga and meditation classes are held in the gardens and on the beach.
The facilities at the fitness centre include cardio machines and free weights, along with a range of outdoor classes such as Zumba and aqua aerobics.
Activities
Outdoor activities include tennis, table tennis, running, walking and guided bicycle tours to Flic-en-Flac village. Golf can be arranged for an extra payment.
The resort’s Sundivers PADI/CMAS diving school offers courses for all levels and trips three times a day. Water skiing, snorkelling, dinghy sailing, stand-up paddleboarding, pedal boating, kayaking, windsurfing and glass-bottom boat rides are available at the boat house. For a supplement, you can also take various catamaran cruises or an exhilarating trip in a speedboat.
Any unwanted sheets, blankets and pillows are donated to Caritas Mauritius to be distributed to those in need. The drinking water in the rooms comes in Be Eau bottles made from plants, which can be composted or reused. Everything from vegetable peels to coffee grounds is turned into fertiliser for the gardens. Waste cooking oil is collected by a local company and recycled into biofuel.
