Day 1

Southampton, England, UK

Nestled in Hampshire, Southampton is a lively waterfront city, easily accessible with direct trains to London, an airport, and a cruise terminal. Immerse in maritime history at the Sea City Museum, discover British art in the Cultural Quarter, or stroll medieval walls in the Old Town. Nearby, explore New Forest National Park, Winchester Cathedral, Stonehenge, and more. Savour the city's vibrant craft beer and culinary offerings for a satisfying experience.

Hamburg, Germany

Hamburg is an extensive city and subway offers the quickest way to get around. Hauptkirche St Michaelis (St Michael’s Church) is north Germany’s largest Baroque church and the city’s most prominent landmark. Near the church is a street lined with late 17th century brick and timber houses while the town hall, built in neo-Renaissance style, offers much to admire. The Museum of Fine Arts has works by masters such as Rembrandt and Munch, while the city’s history museum fascinates with exhibits from the 9th century. The redbrick Speicherstadt Warehouses are the world’s oldest, and railway enthusiasts will appreciate Miniatur Wunderland, one of the world’s largest model train displays.

Copenhagen, Denmark 

Although connected by metro, many of Copenhagen’s attractions are a short walk from Rådhuspladsen (Town Hall Square) including the famous Tivoli Gardens which stretch 22 blocks to the Central Station. The Little Mermaid, by artist Edvard Eriksen, gazes out to sea from Langelinie promenade, also home to the English Church. The Vor Frue Kirke (Church of Our Lady) is the Cathedral of Copenhagen containing Thorvaldsen’s famous statues of Christ and the Twelve Apostles. It was here that the Crown Prince Frederik married in 2004. The National Museum documents Danish history alongside antiquities from Greece, Egypt and Rome while the Illuminations theatre offers astronomical exhibits and 3D documentaries that will excite starry-eyed visitors.

Visby, Sweden

Boasting a central and strategic location within the Baltic Sea, Visby is an important port town built upon shores with a natural harbour and sheltered by rugged cliff tops.

A UNESCO World Heritage Centre, this beautiful port town is recognised for its historical charm and notable Viking-era remains.

As you arrive at the port, the impressive cathedral, stone-built buildings, and medieval town walls will surely be among the first things to catch your wandering eye.

Nearby to the smaller isle of Faro, there is plenty to see and do in Visby. This port town offers a wide selection of inviting restaurants, charming markets, ancient landmarks, and appealing beaches.

Helsinki, Finland  

Surrounded by unspoiled vast green forest landscapes, you are immediately transported to paradise on your approach to Helsinki. From the moment you step on land, Helsinki will offer you its big city appeal alongside its natural beauty, diverse landscape, and Nordic cuisine.

Tallinn, Estonia 

For over 20 years, the Old City Harbour in Tallinn has welcomed guests to the city close with nature. Despite its lively city status, you will quickly learn Tallinn’s calm pace of life and appreciate the abundant parks, promenades, and beaches on offer.

With over 800 years of history, this port city is recognised for its gothic buildings and historic landmarks. While it may be one of the best-preserved medieval cities in Europe, Tallinn combines an impressive historic past with modern conveniences.

As your cruise ship docks just a short walk from the city centre, you are immediately immersed into city delights passing a renowned brewery and harbour market on your travels.

Stockholm, Sweden 

Scattered across 14 bridge-linked islands, Sweden’s dynamic capital is a faultless blend of old and new, where time slows in the dreamy old town and a palpable energy permeates the city. Gamla Stan, Stockholm’s oldest district, is one of Scandinavia’s prettiest historic settlements with beautiful cobbled streets, chic bistros and fashionable shops that exude charm. It’s here, among the medieval lanes, that you’ll find The Royal Palace, the official residence of His Majesty The King. Kiel, Germany 

Nestled at the end of the Kieler Förde in the north of Germany, Kiel is a vibrant and bustling port city, known for its intriguing maritime history – where the sea is an important part of daily life in the region for both business and leisure.

Sitting around 6 miles north of Hamburg, just south of the Danish border - the city was founded in 1233 and has since played host to great naval bases throughout the ages and is now home to the busiest artificial waterway in the world.

Popular with sailing enthusiasts, the city has hosted two Olympic sailing competitions, alongside the biggest sailing event in the world – Kiel Week.

Kiel is a destination that will captivate your senses, with its rich history, picturesque waterfront, and delectable cuisine.
